Shape editor's mea culpa for LeAnn Rimes bikini cover

When the editor of a magazine apologizes to the mag's readers for putting you on the cover, you know your career is in big, big trouble.

And that's what country singer/actress LeAnn Rimes is probably realizing right about now.

According to TooFab, Valerie Latona, editor of Shape, sent out an email to subscribers this week that read:

"You are all in good company... as you all agree Shape has made a terrible mistake in putting LeAnn Rimes on the cover," the editor began.

Readers were aghast and reacted immediately when the mag put Rimes (wearing a sexy red bikini), who has admitted to cheating on husband Dean Sheremet with married Eddie Cibrian) on the cover with the self-serving headline: 'LeAnn Rimes: How Working Out Saved Me.'

"Please know that our putting her on the cover was not meant to put a husband-stealer on a pedestal-but to show (through her story) how we all are human," Latona wrote. "And this woman in particular found strength in exercise in what she said was her most difficult personal moment."

"But it did not come across that way... And for that I'm terribly sorry. I hope that we can do better the next time for those of you that will give us another chance."

The mea culpa email was signed "Humbly, Valerie."

Kim Kardashian is curvy woman and proud of it — these days. But she didn’t always feel that way. Like other young women, she was self-conscious about her figure because of the fashion industry’s idealization of skinny models.

As a teen, the bootylicious reality TV maven confesses that she wished she were skinny and less voluptuous.

“I grew up looking at skinny models and feeling like I didn’t relate,” Kardashian, 30, tells the November 2010 issue of Cleo magazine.

“So when people come up to me and say they’re proud that they have someone they can look up to who has curves, I’m honored.”

Kim, who recently celebrated her 30th birthday with lavish parties in Las Vegas and New York, confesses that as a kid she wanted to look more like her older sister, Kourtney, 31, who is five feet tall.

“Kourtney and I are around the same age but I developed quicker and was curvier than her,” the 5’1″ Kim recounts. “There was never any weird competition, but there was just me wishing I looked a bit more like Kourtney.”

Ironically, Kim’s younger sister, the 5’10″ Khloe, spent all her life being compared to her two petite sisters and wished she looked more like them.

“I’ve been bullied, basically, my entire life. I’ve been compared to my sisters since the day I was born,” said Khloe, who has been teased all her life for being overweight.

I don’t look exactly like them. I’m bigger than them, but I’m me. I’m just always told how big I am,” she recounts.

All three Kardashian girls now work out regularly and eat healthier, thanks to the pressures of constant media scrutiny over their looks and size.

Kim, who released her own exercise DVD, clothing line and fragrance recently, works out with a trainer several times a week, runs on the treadmill and does lots of squats and lunges to keep her curvy physique in shape.

Kim has been posing naked a lot recently. In her most recent shoot, she appeared nude in the November 2010 issue of W magazine.

But now she insists she may be hanging up posing in her birthday suit, although she said the same thing after posing for Playboy.

“I’m really honored [W] chose me for the art issue,” says Kim. “It turned out beautifully, and I love it.”

But, Kardashian added: “I don’t know [if I'll pose nude again]. I’m too old for that now…I wanted to get it all out of my system before I turned 30.”

As People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) hits 30, it's unlikely the animal advocates group--which once portrayed the fur-donning Olsen twins as animal slaughterers in a video game--ever thought that they would be associated with sex appeal à la Pamela Anderson. In case, you might be wondering how sexy going meatless is to the 'Babewatch' girl, check out PETA's latest ad campaign, which features the 43-year-old buxom blonde clad only in a purple string bikini and her body parts divvied up.

The ad shows a done-up, hair-tussled Anderson in a very pin-up girl pose, that is, until you catch the black ink etched across her body. Not to be confused with a new tat, the ink suggest a butcher's diagram with her body parts labeled as "leg" and "ribs" to larger (er, meatier) portions like "breast" and "rump." A caption reads "All Animals Have the Same Parts," inferring that humans and animals are made of identical parts, so, as PETA says, why not pledge and go veg?

Despite a grand opening for the ad in London this week, Anderson's parts were not as welcomed in her home country. Montreal banned the ad for being too "sexist." Anderson had no sympathy for her fellow Canucks and chastised them for censorship.

"In a city that is known for its exotic dancing and for being progressive and edgy, how sad that a woman would be banned from using her own body in a political protest over the suffering of cows and chickens," she tweeted. "In some parts of the world, women are forced to cover their whole bodies with burqas -- is that next? I didn't think that Canada would be so puritanical."

While this is making news, what's not new is Anderson's long-time reputation as a voluptuous veggie (she's been one since her teens). Besides offering her "talents" to ads, she's campaigned against seal hunting in Canada and stood strong during PETA's fight against Kentucky Fried Chicken, saying "What KFC does to 750 million chickens each year is not civilized or acceptable." She also received the first Linda McCartney Memorial Award for animal rights protectors for her campaign efforts. And hat tip for her recent adoption of two dogs from a New Orleans shelter.

The calendar was first of its kind which launched in India in 2003, with an experienced model Deepika and Sidhartha will certainly able to choose some fresh faces this year too.

‘I come from a big, strong family and I love to have them around me. And I am certainly Italian in my love of food!

Brooklyn Decker admitted that she had a bikini-related freakout when it came to her Sports Illustrated photo shoot. The gorgeous model might have a fantastic body, but she couldn't fight off the mosquitoes buzzing around her when on location.

Supermodels also get stressed about their looks, Brooklyn admits.

"I think every woman gets a little nervous in a bathing suit. No matter what your job is or how you look, we all get a little scared," Brooklyn admitted.

"But at the end of the day, it's about enjoying yourself on the beach, so if you look confident you are going to look beautiful."

And that mosquito attack? It sounds like Brooklyn isn't blowing anything out of proportion, considering she had bites on her legs that she shaved over...and then she frolicked in the salty surf with them!

"I had a photo shoot on an island, and it was mosquito season. I had mosquito bites up and down my legs, and I decided to shave over them and go into the ocean and had these red bites all over my legs and up to my stomach," Brooklyn explained.

I got attacked by fleas one time when staying at a friend's house, and I had big welts up and down my legs. If you're particularly sensitive to bug bites, then you probably know what it's like after an attack--no shorts or skirts for a week! I wonder if Brooklyn Decker's were that bad... thank goodness for Photoshop.

We're used to seeing Katie Price in revealing and flesh-baring costumes.
But Katie Price created a stir yesterday when she turned up to promote her latest autobiography dressed as what looked like a sexy librarian.

Katie's formal new style included a satin blouse, pencil skirt, a hat and veil. This was all paired with fifties-style glasses and towering platform heels.

Even the cover of her latest autobiography, You Only Live Once, looked relatively demure: A simple white cover with a pared-down picture of the model on the front.

Perhaps Katie decided a more sophisticated getup would complete the look. It certainly got her lots of attention: Katie was greeted by a crowd of young fans. A male admirer also turned up in a knight's costume, carrying a big heart with 'I [heart] you Katie' on it.

Busy bee Katie posed for photos before signing copies of her book, before jumping into a car for a second meeting with fans at an Asda supermarket.

But the librarian look was dropped and Katie changed into a bolder red and black outfit with a glittery red heart.

Kanye West appears as a nude painting on the cover of his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and now the real Kanye is being exposed.

Two partially nude photos of the larger-than-life rapper — no pun intended! — has made its way to the internet.

Posted by gossip blog MediaTakeOut.com, the photos show Ye posing shirtless on a couch with a straight face wearing sunglasses in one shot, while the other shows the star’s lower body and exposed…Kanye Jr. The more graphic photo also shows Ye’s tattoos, further authenticating the shot.

According to a few media sites, someone has been shopping the self-snapped photos around for weeks, waiting for an outlet to bite.

Kanye, who is currently hard at work on his joint album with Jay-Z in the UK, has yet to respond to the photo leak.

Pamela Anderson donates Playboy pay to charity

Actress Pamela Anderson, who recently stripped for Playboy, has donated her earning to a charity which ensures clean drinking water. And she says countries like Pakistan need the water.

The former Baywatch star posed nude for the January 2011 issue of the magazine and received $25,000. She donated it to Waves 4 Water, a charity distributing filters to people who don't have access to clean drinking water, reports torontosun.com.

'Waves 4 water are my heroes. They get things done... and yes, Playboy wrote them a cheque when I shot the cover directly for 25Gs,' she said.

'I've also donated personally. I wish I could do more. Indonesia, Haiti and Pakistan are all in need of these filters. Spread the word!' she added.

Harry Potter Wears A Bra For New Movie

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe appears to have no problem with his own sexuality as he was recently pictured wearing a bra.

In an ad for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I he is depicted wearing a white lacy bra, quite an interesting look for him.

In the ad, he is heard saying: “Look away, I’m hideous.”

Potter obviously has a lot of friends, as in the film a bunch of them drink a potion to morph into Potter look alikes to keep the real Harry safe.

Shooting for the upcoming film wrapped up in June and the film is set to premier before the end of 2010.

Katy Perry shoots flames from her chest in sparky new pop video

Russell Brand has always thought new wife Katy Perry was a little firecracker - but the singer seems to have taken her groom's thoughts literally in her new video.

After an obsession with carefully-positioned cupcakes, Katie now appears to be shooting actual flames from her chest in the promo for new single Firework.

However, though it's not the first time a pop star has shot flames from her chest - Lady Gaga did it on stage at hte Much Music Awards in Canada a year last June.

But Katy has explained that her stunt was to symbolise the fighting spirit and 'life spark' latent in all human beings rather than simply for shock value.

Talking on her official website, the new bride explains: 'I think that in life, people are challenged to get to where they want to be and to reach their goals.

'Hopefully they can hear this song and find out that those challenges aren't really difficult to get past.'

Katy, 26, got together 250 'real life' inspirational young people 'that are buzzing and fizzing and have the potential to become fireworks' from eight different European countries to star in the video rather than use actors.

They all congregated in Budapest, Hungary, for the shoot.

Katy is seen getting emotional as all 250 youngsters assemble before her for the first time.

She explains: 'With my story, it's been so many trials and tribulations to get to this place. It's amazing to hear people get through things in life and reach their goals.'

'Music can be so powerful and I think it can transform you and inspire you and heal you. We're basically making a formation of a firework, all the kids are being the sparks around me.'

'The whole vibe of the video shoot is a movement, an emotional experience.'

The promo sees a plump girl who is refusing to join in with a pool party suddenly get her spark, strip off and jump in the pool, alongside a bald young child who appears to be a cancer patient and a shy gay man.

All end up shooting sparks from their chests too in the climax to a song and video which has more than a echo of the sentiments in Christina Aquilera's Beautiful.

The finale sees all 250 dancing together in one of the beautiful squares in the stunning city, with special-effects fireworks shooting from their bodies into the sky.

The video chimes with the song's lyrics, which include: 'You've got to ignite the light and let it shine and own the night/'Cos baby you're a firework, come and show them what you're worth.'

The single, which Katy performed on the X Factor on 17 October, is the third to be taken from her album Teenage Dream. It was released on Monday and has already gone to Number Five on downloads alone.

Katy, who celebrated her birthday on Sunday, also wed comedian Brand in an elaborate ceremony on Saturday in Rajasthan, India.

They're currently enjoying their honeymoon in the Maldives.

Topless Kelly Osbourne goes for gold

After dramatically changing her diet and lifestyle, Kelly Osbourne is looking slimmer than ever.

So with the reality TV star feeling more confident with her body than ever before, Kelly has decided to bare nearly all in a new campaign.

The former pop star, who turned 26 yesterday, celebrated her shapely figure by posing nearly naked in gold paint in the style of Shirley Eaton in Bond film Goldfinger.

Fans of the 1964 007 movie will remember Eaton's character Jill Masterton ended up dead on a red sofa after suffocating after she is covered in gold paint by villain Oddjob.

Kelly was persuaded to strip off to mark the launch of Sky+HD reaching over 50 channels in high definition.

She enthused: 'I love watching TV in HD, you really can see everything in a lot more detail and it makes everything look so much better. Although if you’re on the other side of the camera then the pressure is on you to make sure you look good!

'Since my weight loss I’m a lot more body confident in front of the camera. It’s not just celebration for Sky+HD, but for me too.'

After starting to slim down while on Dancing With The Stars last year and losing more weight after the recent end of her engagement to model Luke Worrall, Kelly is now skinnier than ever before.

She now follows a low-carb, sugar free diet that is rich in protein and vegetables and spends three days a week at the gym and the other four doing 30 minute runs on the treadmill.

She said recently: 'Compared to how I used to eat it's completely different.

'I don't eat junk food. I don't have it in my house anymore. I'm more inclined to go for a bag of carrots now than a bag of chips. 'I NEVER thought I would turn into that girl but I have.'

Meanwhile, Kelly revealed this week she has been picked as the latest subject of Piers Morgan's Life Stories Show.

She will discuss her famous family, her addiction to prescription pills and her recent broken engagement on the ITV show next month.

Writing on her Twitter, she said: 'Filming the Piers Morgan special for ITV and I could not be more nervous and more excited at the same time. I feel so honoured that he picked me...

'Actually I am ridiculously nervous.'

Kelly celebrated her birthday with an intimate dinner with her close family and friends at Chinese restaurant Shanghai Grill in Beverly Hills.

Kate Moss has just shot her latest jewellery campaign for David Yurman, which features the model in a topless pose.

She might be advertising the ring for the jewellery designer but her nudity seems to steal the spotlight in this new campaign.

It’s not the first time Kate has stripped for fashion but the 36-year-old doesn’t seem to be covering up anytime soon, despite nearing 40.

Meanwhile, as she models for Yurman’s range, Moss is about to launch her final collection for Topshop and will be available in stores and online from November 2nd.

It will be her 14th and final collection for the high street store and she recently told The New York Times’ online T blog: ‘I’ve learned a lot about the design and development process; experiences that I’d only ever seen informally through being a model.’

In September, Topshop boss Sir Philip Green, said: ‘For her (Moss) to carry on at Topshop, she needed to take it to the next level, which would mean that she would have to have agreed to devote a lot more time and energy to it – and she didn’t want to do that.’

The 17-year-old actress/singer Taylor Momsen seems to have gone ahead of her times by giving audience a shocking taste of her sex appeal in New York. Kendra Wilkinson has explained why he refused to do nude photo in Playboy, because her husband Hank Baskett does not want Kendra Wilkinson to accept the Playboy offer only to prove that she is still sexy as a mother.
In some news that should launch before, Kendra reported refused for reasons of being overweight.

“He didn’t yell at me. He wasn’t mad at me for doing that photo shoot. He actually sat down with me and he went over the reasons of doing it. And you know, my reasons weren’t right. I wanted to do Playboy for the wrong reasons. The wrong reasons are to prove people wrong, not to prove it to myself but to people and to put my middle finger up to everybody and be like, ‘I’m going to do Playboy!’ But that wasn’t the right reason, you know,” Kendra said as quoted from the Huffington Post at Wednesday (28/10/2010).

Indicted Russian spy Anna Chapman is next month’s cover girl for the Russian version of Maxim magazine. Sporting black lacy lingerie, gauzy black gloves and chandelier diamond earrings, her infamous red mane falling in Hayworth-esque waves, she gazes at the camera seductively, a shiny silver gun raised in her hand.

It’s all very Bond girl.

Chapman, who’s doing everything she can to cash in on her infamy since being arrested in June as part of a ten-person Russian spy ring, tells the magazine, "Most men are divided in three categories: Primitive, those that only want sex; smarter, those that want to be loved, and [the] last group -- those that not only want to be loved. They also need that this love will be the biggest and most amazing feeling in your life. Those are the most difficult, but that is my favorite category."

Since posting Anna’s shots and a behind-the-scenes video of the super risque photoshoot, Maximonline.ru has reportedly crashed several times thanks to high traffic. We assume it’s not about the sexiness of the content but because "Anna Chapman has done more to excite Russian patriotism than the Russian soccer team," as the site claims.

Earlier this year, Anna was even awarded the Kremlin’s top honor for her role in the spy ring.

The photographs and interview with Chapman are part of the magazine’s run-down of Russia’s 100 sexiest women. She earned that recognition right after she was discovered as a Russian spy and deported and sexy photos from social networking sites like Facebook made their way to news outlets.

Kate Moss has, once again, proved exactly why she earns about eight gazillion pounds every time she steps in front of the camera. Kate looks faboosh in this shoot for Brazilian lingerie label Valisere in which she models a veritable feast of undergarments including a suspender belt, stockings and feather boa. Oooh, Kate!

Now, admittedly there have been whisperings on t’internet that a rather large airbrush has been employed in order to make Mosskins look completely flawless in the shoot. Whilst there’s no denying Kate does look EXTREMELY fresh of face in the pics, we’re not exactly talking about a Mariah Carey album cover, are we? And Moss DID announce in September that she was going to be turning over a new leaf, after all…

Pre-fringe Moss was last seen at Bryan Ferry’s album launch at Soho’s Dean Street Townhouse, where guests apparently queued up to say how much they liked her new hair instead of complimenting Ferry on his album. Crystal Renn Loves Lingerie But Doesn’t Wear Underwear

On Thursday, Crystal Renn walked a runway at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York wearing a latex bodysuit and nipple pasties for Carine Gilson’s first lingerie show in twenty years. Considering the scene, it should come as no surprise that when New York Magazine’s Jada Yuan chatted with Renn after the show, the conversation hewed to the theme of the evening: underwear.

Renn, for her part, seems sublimely comfortable with nudity and the fact that designers always “want to put latex on [her] for shows,” a fact she attributes to her “dominatrix-type energy.” But when it comes to actual lingerie, Renn likes to keep things really simple.

“I could tell the truth and say that often I’m not wearing bras or underwear. Being someone who doesn’t tend to wear undergarments — and I’m so sorry for anyone who might be offended by my eccentric ways — but when I do wear it, I make sure it’s a special occasion, and I wear it as a special thing, feeling special, so therefore the effect is stronger than ever. As opposed to every day, feeling the effect. Special times, special measures.”

Renn also opened up about her weight, which she says has fluctuated from a size 0 at her smallest, to a size 12-14 at her largest. She has now found a comfortable and happy place being something around a size 8-10.

“Well, I’m so active [now.] In the past, I avoided exercise because it brought back terrible feelings. I wasn’t ready. And I was scared that maybe I was going to be addicted again… I think I probably have a good relationship with the exercise that I do do. I’m taking care. I’m just in a really good place. I do hiking. I do yoga, but nothing crazy, just in my house. It brings me peace.”

There’s been a lot of controversy about the fact that Renn, at her present size, is too small to be considered plus-size. But what we think is most awesome and more telling is that in her current iteration, Renn makes a great case for the diversifying the industry in general, and in every direction. Why should models be categorized as “straight” size or “plus” size? Why not just have models of any size?

Debrahlee Lorenzana is suing Citibank after being terminated from her position with the company for allegedly dressing too sexy for male colleagues to handle. Lorenzana claims that whenever she tried to wear turtleneck shirts, pencil skirts, or tight pants, that she was told she could no longer wear the items because they were simply too distracting for male co-workers.

The 5’5″, 125 lb. former bank employee was given an outline of clothing that would be acceptable for her to wear, separate from the already in place dress code that other employees were expected to follow. Shortly after taking the matter tot he attention of Citibank’s human resources department citing that other female employees were similar clothing, she was fired.

Now as an employee of Chase Morgan, her current job position has been threatened for remarks that she has made to the media regarding her sexual discrimination lawsuit against Citibank.

“I have to say something,” she said. “Enough is enough.”

Adriana Lima Shows Of $2 Million Victoria’s Secret Diamond Bra

The stunning Victoria’s Secret fantasy bra has been unveiled by model Adriana Lima on Wednesday, at the lingerie giants chain store SoHo, in New York. It is a $2 million wonder garment that was showcased for the very first time by Victoria’s Secret angel Adriana Lima, as part of a preview for a holiday fashion show.

The designer bra is the creation of Damiani, and is made up of 1542 carats of white diamonds, blue sapphires and blue topaz. These gems have been set in 18 carat white gold.

The jeweled bra is the centre of attraction at this annual fashion show. This fashion show will be aired on CBS on November 30. Celebrity performances by Akon and Katy Perry are expected.

Adriana has been one of the leading models for Victoria’s Secret. At the store, Lima dazzled around with a long blue cinched waist gown that was lined in pink satin, along with long white gloves and pink peep toe heels. Absolutely stylish lingerie!

Sarah Palin receives pink underwear from controversial sheriff

Sarah Palin received an unlikely gift from a famous admirer over the weekend: A pair of pink women's underwear.

The underwear was from Maricopa County, Ariz. Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who met the former Alaska governor at a Tea Party rally in Phoenix on Friday.

Arpaio announced the gift on Twitter. "Just got done welcoming Sarah Palin to our County. Had a nice chat and gaver her a pair of pink underwear," he wrote.

The gift isn't entirely out of left field. Arpaio has garnered national media attention for his controversial methods of prisoner treatment, which he employs at the Maricopa County jail. Among them are restricting inmates to two meals a day, housing inmates outdoors, and requiring inmates to wear pink underwear.

In an ongoing case, a federal judge ruled in 2008 and again in 2010 that Maricopa County jails violate the civil rights of inmates.

Justin Bieber's mum turns down topless Playboy shoot!

Justin Bieber's mum, Patricia Bieber, has reportedly been offered the sum of $50,000 to appear topless in a photoshoot for Playboy magazine in the US. She has also supposedly, and unsurprisingly, turned it down!

According to The Third Age, 34-year-old Patricia Bieber turned down the Playboy shoot saying that it would have gone against her religious values. She certainly doesn't need the paltry $50,000 that Playboy reportedly offered her either. Her son is a worldwide teen pop superstar, whose music and merchandising has raked in, what must be, millions upon millions of Canadian dollars for the folks back home.

Can you imagine Justin Bieber's mum in Playboy? The clean cut Canadian hero to millions of teenage fans around the globe, with his mum, topless in a naughty magazine? It would be priceless, wouldn't it?

Of course, Patricia Bieber isn't the first to turn down the offer of a Playboy shoot. Only recently Mel Gibson's ex Oksana Grigorieva is alleged to have turned down a $75,000 offer to pose fully nude for the Playboy cover shoot. Lady Gaga, Nelly Furtado, Mel B, N-Dubz front girl Tulisa, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Aniston have all also supposedly turned down Hugh Heffner's advances in the past.
